Site Signs 'Spaced out' by Shoe Box Appeal

Shoe Box AppealSite Signs, the Bristol based sign maker to the UK's Property Market is used to seeing large volumes of boxes leaving its factory, however this year it's a slightly different kind of box.

Elaine Hill, Sales Manager of Site Signs says:
"We have for the last two years donated factory space to the Samaritan's Purse Charity. The space is used for the storage and packing of the famous Christmas Shoebox. Operation Christmas Child is the world's largest Children's Christmas appeal with a heritage of 21 years. Every year Operation Christmas Child is made possible through the amazing support of thousands of children and adults in the UK and Ireland. Last year alone, the charity had the joy of sending nearly 1.12 million shoe boxes bursting with joy from the UK and several thousand more from Ireland to children living in parts of Africa, Central Asia and Eastern Europe."

"What's more, Operation Christmas Child can help your church connect with its community, your school children connect with other children overseas, and your workplace connect with a common cause - a child in need." Elaine says:
"We are all happy to do whatever we can to help and it's great to see so many boxes leaving, just knowing the joy they will bring to under privileged children all over the world."

Inca Spyder investment leads digital expansion for Site Signs
Inca Digital SpydersDue to a continual high demand and a constant volume of printing, Site Signs have invested in two eight colour Inca Spyder Digital Printers.
Sales Manager Elaine Hill explains: "We had been looking to add digital production capacity for a long time but were never quite happy with the colour result until we saw the Inca Spyder. It gave us the colour range and finish we needed. There were other systems that were cheaper but nothing could match the quality we were looking for. The calibre of the finish was paramount and the Inca Digital Printers gives us that, which is why Inca was our first choice."

The decision has also clearly been a hit with customers as now the two presses produce almost half of 50,000 signs printed every month. Elaine Hill expands:
“Our market share has increased on the back of the Spyders because people are realising that the quality is phenomenal.  We are mainly printing on Correx fluted plastic and the Spyder is ideal for that medium. Estate agents use much more colour and imagery now to get their boards noticed and build brand awareness. Consistency is vital to that. Our customers tend to place orders months apart but they need their boards to look the same no matter when they were printed. With the Spyder we know we can deliver that and do it more affordably."
